Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder (English, Virtual)

This Autism for Caregivers session is designed to provide caregivers with a comprehensive understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through a strengths-based perspective. Emphasizing the concept of "neurodifference," we’ll move beyond basic definitions to explore the diversity of the autism spectrum and the unique ways individuals experience the world.

Participants will learn to provide person-centered care, an approach where the client’s preferences, dignity, and choices drive every aspect of the care plan. The session equips caregivers with practical strategies for daily support, effective communication, and crisis intervention, all grounded in a trauma-informed care (TIC) framework.

To sign up, fill out the registration form below, and an organizer will reach out to confirm and share the Zoom link.

This session will be conducted in English.
