Medicaid funding for CDPAP is under threat. Tens of thousands of CDPAs across New York are joining 1199SEIU to make sure caregivers and consumers have a voice in protecting it.

CDPAP exists because caregivers and the people they care for deserve something better — a program built around their needs, not bureaucratic convenience. But Medicaid cuts threaten to take that away, and right now, we don’t have a seat at the table when those decisions get made.

That’s what forming a union through 1199SEIU changes. Together, CDPAs and consumers can push back, negotiate for real improvements, like:

  • Educational opportunities

  • Stronger program protections
