1199SEIU is New York’s union for caregivers.
Caring for loved ones is a hard job, and Consumer Directed Personal Care Assistants (CDPAs) deserve wages and benefits that match the value of our work. Forming a union with other CDPAP caregivers is the best way we can fight for a care system that protects both caregivers and consumers. When we join 1199SEIU, we’re uniting with 75,000 home care workers across New York State and 150,000 consumer-directed caregivers and home care workers across the East Coast who have come together to secure wages, benefits, and protect Medicaid coverage.
