1199SEIU is the strongest and fastest growing home care worker union in the country.
Represents 150,000+ homecare and consumer-directed care workers.

Better Wages and Benefits
1199SEIU home care members won regular raises and healthcare coverage by taking action to strengthen Medicaid. Between 2022 and 2026, our wages increased by $3.45/hr for caregivers outside NYC, Westchester and Long Island and $2.65/hr for everyone else.

Educational Opportunities

WHAT ARE DUES?
It takes money to bargain contracts, enforce protections, and run our union democratically.
Dues are 2% of base pay up to a cap of $125 per month
No dues until CDPAs vote YES on a contract we believe is worth it
